Here is a simple fact, if you can increase your body’s metabolism, you will lose weight. Metabolism is the rate at which your body is able to burn calories and convert it into energy. Metaphorically, your body is like a fire and the logs are fuel (food) for the fire. If the fire is large and hot, it will burn the logs at a faster rate, which means that you will have to add more fuel to the fire. Adding more logs will increase the fires size and the fire will burn even hotter. If you could change your metabolism to burn food at a faster rate, you will be able to eat more food and lose weight.

You might not believe, but once you learn what foods increase your metabolism, you will be able to eat more food and still lose weight. The reason that you can eat more food is because once you reprogram your body, your body will burn food (fuel) faster.

Your bodies metabolism is affected by five factors: age, daily activity, food consumption, food choices and genetics.

Genetics will determine how fast your body’s metabolism burns calories. If you have been heavy your entire life, genetics has probably been the key factor in your weight gain. However, this factor can be easily overcome by blue printing your body and learning what foods work well with your body. Once this occurs, the specific foods and exercises will accelerate your body’s metabolism.

Age is another factor which everyone has noticed. As people get older, their metabolisms slow down. When you are young, it’s easy to eat whatever you want and not gain any weight; however once you hit thirty it seems like anything you eat goes right to your gut.

The amount of activity that you do on a daily basis will have a significant effect on your metabolic rate. People with a sedentary lifestyle will have a harder time burning calories as their metabolism have slowed down and store food energy instead of burn it. As you reduce the amount of physical activity in your life, your body starts to slow down, this includes your metabolism.
