T.V., magazines, and the Internet are filled with the latest and greatest weight loss or build muscle fast programs. Many of them proudly display amazing results and transformation stories, but the real question is, do they actually work? Do any of them live up to their claims? Many people are wary of trying any kind of home exercise program, because they were let down before.

Personally, I know how it feels to try out a new home exercise DVDs and receive little results from it. It doesn’t really do much for your motivation to see how hard you worked, and how little you got out of it. It’s like the story of those people that watch the weight loss T.V. show, “The Biggest Loser” while chowing down on ice cream. Those people are often so frustrated with their “inability” to lose weight that they just give up, and eat garbage. Many people feel that way after trying a fitness program and then failing to see the drastic results that they thought they would get.

Let us discuss whether or not home fitness workouts like P90x really are worth it. Can they actually provide results? Or are they a waste of time?

Can someone working out at home achieve excellent fitness just like someone working out at a gym? It goes without saying that the equipment found at a gym are going is expensive. Far too expensive, and space consuming for the average Joe to have in their house or apartment, which is why people pay a monthly fee for a gym membership to gain access to it.

Is this equipment really worth paying a monthly fee for? Does it provide any benefits over home fitness workouts? The pros and cons could be debated extensively, but what it boils down to is this. A calorie burned, is a calorie burned. It doesn’t matter if you burned it on a treadmill that cost thousands of dollars or while doing push-ups in your living room. You can burn calories at the gym, you can burn calories at home. You can build muscle and lose weight at home, all without expensive exercise equipment.

You can absolutely get in amazing shape from your own home with a home exercise program. No expensive equipment is needed. Many workout programs utilize your own body weight or affordable (and space saving) resistance bands to provide resistance training. For cardio, some programs utilize dance, boxing, kickboxing, plyometrics, or Kenpo Karate to get your heart pumping. The best kind of home fitness program will include both resistance training and cardiovascular workouts.

A good example of a solid home fitness program is P90x. You have your cardiovascular and resistance training workouts, and a nutrition plan that tells you exactly what you should be eating and how much of it you should eat. When P90x you get done following P90x for 90 days, you will have results!

Get fit in 90 days. Use these P90x transformations as motivation.
