Why Are Men Turning to HCG?

Is dieting for men? Are men actually using HCG to lose weight? There are many out there still questioning the facts. The stereotypes are that strong. Women are seen as the “dieters.” Men don’t diet, do they? YES! They do diet. Experts say that they make up a substantial part of the dieting industry.

When discussing general health risks related to unhealthy weight it is obvious that men are at greater risk than women. Overweight men tend to carry their fat in the abdomen (the apple shape). They are more likely to store fat in this way than women. This makes them more susceptible to obvious health risks due to the fact that abdominal fat is directly related to several increased health risk factors.

White males who are obese and find themselves between the ages of 20 and 30 have a shortened life expectancy. Their life expectancy is a drastic 13 years shorter than their contemporaries who don’t fit the mold. Fitting this mold as an African American instead of a white male means that the life expectancy rate is decreased even more…from 13 to 20 years shorter than healthy weight males of the same age group. The drastic decreases in life expectancy are a result of the male tendency to keep fat stored around the middle (abdominal fat).

Abdominal fat offers increased independent risk for both heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Stress exacerbates the problem by the extra production of cortisol. This particular hormone is theorized to increase the storage of fat in the abdominal area.

Stereotypes regarding the weight loss industry have not kept males from dieting. They have only kept the active involvement of males in the dieting industry low on the radar. Women seem more likely to discuss their active dieting in comparison to men. Experts suggest that the male activity in the dieting sector is substantial and will continue to grow.

Males who diet using the homeopathic HCG weight loss method often find themselves at the higher end of the average weight loss scale than their female counterparts. Since the average daily weight loss while on the diet is 1 to 2 pounds of weight loss daily it’s not surprising that many men enjoy finding themselves on the upper end of the weight loss average and stick to the HCG diet. It works. They lose drastic weight in a short amount of time.
