There is a cool unique approach to losing weight which can work well. And, thankfully, there is actual scientific reasoning supporting this novel but not difficult approach.

Unbelievably, this method is not so severe that it is impossible for the ordinary person to stick to the simple regimen for long enough to see results. See below for comments on fast diets and weight loss.

In a nutshell, it involves tricking your own personal metabolism. What is your own personal metabolism? Well get to that in a minute. Just what is the main idea behind this regimen and how will it result in weight loss? Basically, the idea is that Calories Do Count ” they are probably the only real way to lose weight.

Its easily seen that if you reduce your caloric intake too much, your body will respond to what it (the body) believes to be the start of starving.

Unfortunately, the human body cannot be reasoned with. Our body goes by cues that are part of our ancient nature. Thus, merely reducing calories actually prevents us from losing weight. Why? Because the body, when it believes it is about to starve, shuts down. It uses as few calories as possible as the first line of defense in saving our life. Your body does not understand about weight loss. Your body is intent on survival ” after all, that all the poor thing has, isnt it?

The lack of food is noticed by the body almost instantly. This is because back millions of years ago food did not move around easily. The result was that a local crop failure could produce a severe and dangerous local famine. Our bodies were trained over millions of years to react to possible starvation early on.

Over millions of years when famine hit repeatedly, the human body learned it was necessary to immediately use fewer calories. To do that the body slowed the metabolic rate way down. (The metabolic rate is the rate at which the body uses fuel to keep basic vital functions going. See, we told you wed tell you.)

Now, how can you do two things which are diametrically opposed to each other ” and, do them simultaneously? To lose weight we need to cut our calories at the same time that we need our metabolism to stay at a high level. However, if we do cut our calories our metabolism slows down. But if we can cut calories and keep our metabolism up to normal (or, close to it) the result must be weight loss.

Thus, to attain weight loss, you must play a trick on your body. You have to make your body believe that you are NOT cutting back on the number of calories eaten, when that is exactly what you are doing.

“Cycling Calories” is what the trick is called. But, what does cycling calories mean as used in this method?

Its simple. On some days you eat slightly MORE calories than your bodys metabolism requires. On other days you eat FEWER calories than are required.

When this is done PROPERLY over time you will consume fewer calories than you actually need. The result is you have a caloric deficit. That’s what gives you a weight loss.

By using this regimen you have put your metabolism in a “guessing mode.” When here your metabolism never reacts to calorie restriction by slowing down.

It goes like this: Your metabolism keeps chugging along like it usually does and on the days when calories are fewer it looks at this phenomenon and says, Well, if its gonna be that bad tomorrow Ill go into Starvation Mode. However, the next day calories are up and the Metabolism says, Hey, calories are up to snuff so I do not need to slow down.

As long as your total calories, over time, are actually being restricted, you lose weight. But, folks there is something else you need to understand.

This is NOT a quick 3, 5 or 21 day diet. You must realize those kind of fast diets are useful only for eliminating water from your body. When you start drinking water after a spate of quick dieting, the weight comes back, doesnt it? Of course, because you havent really lost any fat. (Or, very little.)

The diet that fools your metabolism, has to work slowly because you burn your fat off slowly. If you stick to it, your metabolism will win over the fat and you will shed pounds. .

The details of this method go beyond the scope of this report. We cannot here go into detail about any diet implementation – that would be too complicated. However, there is information on this Trick Your Metabolism diet elsewhere.
