There are endless ways to get in shape – but finding ways that don’t make you dread your exercise can be a little more difficult. This is why I’ve put together my top five fun ways of getting fit without even trying. These are a little creative and different from the norm, but they’ll all help you to get your body back in shape.
1) Dancing
Dancing is such fantastic exercise and one of the most fun ways to get in shape. There are many different types of dance class available nowadays, so choose a style that suits your personality. You can even bring a friend and turn it into a fun night out. When you don’t have a dance class to go to, simply turn on some upbeat music at home and dance around the room for a little while. You’ll probably feel quite puffed out quickly, showing you just how great exercise this is!
2) Go Out With Your Pet
If you have a dog then you’ll need to make sure that they stay in shape as well as you! Take advantage of the extra incentive to exercise and go for long walks or simply play with them for a while in the garden. Your pet will love you for it and you’ll see the results quickly if you keep it up regularly.
3) Play Sports With Friends
It might seem daunting to go down the gym four times a week, but replace this with playing sports with friends and you’ll feel a lot more motivated. Whether that means playing football in the park or just throwing and catching a Frisbee – these are all perfect ways for you to enjoy yourself and help give yourself more ways to get in shape without even trying.
4) Run for Charity
Doing a sponsored walk or run is one of the best ways to earn some money for charity. What better motivation do you need to get out there and to start exercising? Whenever you’re feeling tired or down about being active, just remember that you’re doing it for a fantastic reason.
5) Play A Game
One of the most popular ways to get in shape these days is to use a fitness game. Games like the Wii Fit help to motivate you to exercise by turning it into a game. If you’re one of those people who really can’t motivate yourself to get out and active, then buying a game like this could be just the thing you need!
