There are not very many medical issues that run rampant out of control. One of them that currently does seem to be out of control is obesity. The obesity epidemic continues to increase drastically even though the general public is aware of the severe consequences.

The obesity epidemic has several negative effects. These negative effects affect the individual, the family unit, and society as a whole. The drastic spread of obesity has resulted in a widespread decrease in the quality of life, a drastic increase in the risk for many common illnesses and diseases and a notable decrease in mental health of the individual.

In most instances a major issues such as this one with so many drastic negative effects is quickly sorted out. Experts identify the cause so that the problem can be solved or at least controlled. But with obesity experts run into a problem when attempting to sort out the “cause” of the problem. The cause of obesity depends upon the situation at hand. But obesity runs rampant in the US for certain reasons (not just one) and they include:

Obesity is running rampant in the US for several reasons. The top 3 are:

1. Junk Food Eating: Most Americans are very attached to junk food. Junk food in this instance means high fat, high calorie foods that have little to no nutritional value. They provide Americans with far more calories than they need to sustain their day to day function and more calories than they are even capable of burning in a day.

2. Dining Out: Americans enjoy eating out. It’s easy and it’s convenient. It also provides Americans with huge portion sizes far exceeding suggested calorie requirements. Many Americans spend meal time “out” for a large percentage of their weekly meals.

3. Unhealthy Choices: Most Americans do not make healthy food choices. For some it’s not a priority and for others…they just don’t know how. Prepared foods that are almost always high calorie/high fat are more popular than they have any right to be. Even Americans who “cook at home” do not use healthy food preparation methods. Instead they incorporate frying, deep frying and sauteing in butter/oil.

To stop the rule of obesity in American lifestyle changes are necessary. Subtle lifestyle changes won’t do the trick; it will need to be drastic change. Successfully adopting the drastic protocol as presented by homeopathic HCG weight loss programs is one way in which individuals can force themselves to adopt healthier eating choices and healthier food preparation choices. Most successful dieters are able to create new, healthier habits during the course of the program and their new habits follow them into their new life at a healthier weight.
