The Atkins diet is a famous weight loss program started by Dr. Atkins. It is centered on the idea that eating a low-carb diet will help you to lose weight. This gives you an opportunity to lose weight by using nutritional products. The diet has become very popular with most people and not only does it recommend you to eat low carbohydrates, it also advocates for a diet high in fats. This may result from the stagnating insulin in the body that is caused by the intake of too much refined carbohydrates. All you need to do in such a case is to change your metabolism order by reducing the intake of carbohydrate in the body, exercising regularly and taking some nutritional supplements.

Essentially, the basic principle behind Atkins diet is to safely reduce carbohydrates and supplementing with more proteins and fat to loose weight naturally without having to skip the essential nutrients.
