People would like to get rid of unwanted fats in the body in any possible ways. Various exercises and diet programs have been developed but those who tried them but eventually quit because no immediate results were observed. A fast new way of getting rid of fats is discovered in the form of Liposuction. Fast results are seen but people are reluctant to go through this operation. Now, a breakthrough in science allows the breaking down of fats without undergoing any operation. The formula, however, does not have approval from FDA. It is now gaining controversies in various parts of the world.
The controversial Solution – The controversial solution is called PCDC or phosphatidylcholine/deoxycholate, combination of two compounds that are extracted from natural sources and are naturally present in the human body. The first of the compounds, phosphatidylcholine, is found in cell membranes of living organisms including humans. It can be extracted from egg yolk or soy beans. It has a known usage in medical world as substance that breaks down fats in blood vessels to prevent heart attack and stroke. The second compound is a bile extracted from the liver. It has an emulsifying property and has many uses in medical and industrial world. Together they are used as solution for Lipodisolve treatment that promises to break down and emulsify fats in localized areas in the body.
The controversy – Both phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate are effective substances. Their effectiveness and safety as a solution when used to break down fats in the parts they are injected are not clinical tested. Many people have undergone Lipodisolve treatment. They say the treatment have positive results. Various medical groups aren’t impressed. There are doubts with regards to its bad effects in the body. There are states and some countries who are initiating a move to ban Lipodisolve.
Current status – Lipodisolve is not an approved formula by the FDA. Treatments are allowed only if it is done as approved clinical tests. A Test like this has already been started but there are no results released yet. For the meantime, many people are waiting for its approval so they could try the treatment. Some couldn’t contain their excitement that they are willing to get the treatment with or without FDA approval. Many positive results have already been proven but they don’t count because they are not done as clinical tests.
The procedure – There is no standard procedure on doing the treatment. The conducting physician has the final say on how the treatment should be experienced. Under normal conditions, a Lipodisolve treatment would require one to as many as three sessions separated by at least two weeks. The dosage of solution would also vary from one physician to another. A certain dosage is injected in localized areas of the body where fats need to be broken down.
The Final Say – There is a risk to take if anyone would like to undergo this Lipodisolve treatment. The patient has the responsibility to look into the credentials of the physician who will conduct the treatment. It would be great if there are available photos of past patients with the corresponding result for similar procedures done by the physician. There could also be feed backs and comments from past patients that would be the basis to check whether the physician is capable of doing the procedure effectively or not.
