The Cayenne Pepper Diet (or Master Cleanse) is meant to be followed for 3 – 10 days, depending on your experience level. A lemonade is made from fresh lemon juice, cayenne pepper, maple syrup and filtered water. It tastes delicious and will purge your body of accumulated toxins and waste matter while also help you lose fat.
New dieters often make this common blunder. Not understanding the consequences, they try to save money by buying cheap substitutes for the recipe ingredients. This renders the Cayenne Pepper Diet almost worthless for detoxing.
The lemonade recipe seems simple enough, and considering the cost of pure maple syrup, many people want to substitute cheaper ingredients. However, the quality of the maple syrup, lemon, and water is of vital importance.
You’ve seen videos of people tapping maple trees for syrup. That is the stuff you want to buy … GENUINE maple syrup. It comes in Grades that indicates when the sap was taken from the tree. Grade A is early in the season, Grade B is later. There is also a very dark and strong Grade C which is not sold to consumers but used for commercial preparations.
For the Cayenne Pepper Diet, we prefer to use Grade B syrup because it’s packed with the essential nutrients. Please never use pancake syrup for the cleanse – it’s artificially flavored and contains mostly refined sugar without the natural nutrients of the real thing.
Good maple syrup can easily be found at a health food store and you can probably find that in your local supermarket too. Check the aisle where the pancake mix is kept. Check the label carefully. You will likely pay between $8 – $10 per 32 ounces and you will require several bottles for your Cayenne Pepper Diet. If the price concerns you, remember that you won’t be eating food during the cleanse so you will be saving money.
Lemons are very important. Buy only fresh lemons and organic if you can find it. Don’t use concentrate. It not only tastes vile, but it lacks the nutrition and freshness of whole lemons. You will enjoy the drink much more with fresh squeezed. You will be juicing a LOT of lemons during the cleanse so you may want to consider the best way to juice them. I do them by hand, however a juicer makes good sense.
We are composed of more than 85% water. When you are making the lemonade for the cleanse, it should be obvious that the prime ingredient is water and it should be of high quality. No bottled water. Fancy bottled tap water isn’t going to cut it for you and you deserve better. Buy a Brita system or some other filter and ensure that your water is clean and filtered. When you detox, your intent is to get rid of toxins and putting only fresh ingredients back in your body is a wise decision.
Cleansing successfully with the Cayenne Pepper Diet is done by choosing high quality ingredients only. This will leave you feeling lighter and younger.
