Personally, I think its all about confidence and motivation – once you’ve gotten at least close to where you want to be, it builds your confidence a ton – and then you SHOULD be properly motivated to make the permanent life changes to keep moving in that direction. I think lots of people think that its a “quick fix”, and don’t realize that regular habits are what got them there – and it’ll happen again if they aren’t careful (and fast!).
