During tough economic times, women often feel they should cut out “luxuries” such as health and beauty items. Some women cut out seemingly unnecessary skin care products. However, skin care is vitally important, as poor skin quality is more prone to infections and can be a symptom of serious disease such as diabetes.
Fortunately, skin care can be done cheaply. The catch is that you have to create skin care products yourself. There are so many women that skip out on their beauty rituals simply because they do not have enough money to afford them. In turns, this makes this feel down all the time simply because they do not feel beautiful.
They are trying to get more and more customers by using convincing tactics like expensive advertisements on print and multimedia, free gifts and wonderful packaging of beauty products.
Don’t panic, though. Most skin care products are neither expensive nor difficult to make. Most use products that women normally find in their kitchens, such as olive oil or bananas. And homemade health and beauty products leave out chemicals that pollute the environment.
One product every woman should have in her kitchen is olive oil. Besides being the most healthy oil for cooking purposes, olive oil is a natural moisturizer.
Beauty experts recommend applying it to dry skin on the bottom of your feet or on your knees. Olive oil is also an excellent addition to a hot bath; it will moisturize your skin as you bathe.
A few who do, do not really understand what they mean in common language and what their ill-effects are. More so, many people end up over using the products and over use of anything is bad.
Another common, useful household item is a ripe banana. Many people don’t like to eat bananas that are overripe; why not put them to good use as moisturizers? Bananas are especially useful if your skin is already dry and cracked. (Olive oil is better for maintaining already healthy skin.)
All you need to do is mash one of those overripe bananas into a paste. Apply the banana paste to whatever area of skin needs your attention. Leave it on for ten minutes or so before rinsing. You can, if you wish, add a teaspoon of olive oil to the banana paste before application for additional benefits.
Just mash up one of these bananas until it forms a paste. If you’d like, add a teaspoon of olive oil for extra moisturizing benefits. Then rub the paste gently into your skin and set a time for 10 minutes. When the timer rings, rinse it off and you’ve got moisturized skin.
Given how easy it is to make and use natural skin care products, there is really no excuse for not taking care of your skin. Remember that these products are cheap and better for the environment; you are doing yourself and the world a good deed by using them.
