Fat thighs are a womans (or mans) worst nightmare. Fortunately, help is at hand in fighting back and getting rid of them. The thighs contain more muscle groups than any other part of the body. This means getting rid of the fat on the thighs can be a quick and rewarding process if enough work is put in.

We don’t lead such energetic lives very often but you can soon make plenty of opportunities to rid yourself of the fat on your thighs.

Another great form of exercise if swimming, it is particularly effective. The great thing is that it is also relaxing and it improves the secretion of endorphins into the body. These help as fat burners.

Swimming provides a great all over body workout and is very effective at toning and shaping. Try using your legs rather than your arms to propel you through the water. If you can keep a steady pace and rhythm for at least 30 minutes each session, you will soon see the difference.

Straightforward stretching and leg raising exercise can be done in the privacy of your home and there are lots to choose from. A very easy one is the vertical leg lift. This is done by lying flat on your back with your legs straight in front of you. Keep your hands at your sides and raise you legs until they are at a 45 degree angle to your body. Stay in this position for 3 seconds and then slowly lower them. You need to begin with about 15 repeats of this and then once comfortable with this, repeat gradually.

You need to have a healthy well balanced diet, this is really important. Wherever on your body you want to lose weight, it is important to eat well. This does not mean you need to go on a fad diet. Eating enough is important in order to ensure you rmetabolism does not slow down – this would make if very hard to lose weight. It is vital that you follow a sensible diet so that you make sure that your body does not go into starvation mode.
