It is incredibly challenging to maintain that “perfect weight” that everybody is talking about. The food at some of these restaurants is outrageous. How anybody can lose weight is beyond me. Well here are a few things that worked for me, but be careful it might not work for you.
Probably one of my biggest challenges is going out to eat. It just seems so tough to maintain a healthy lifestyle while you are craving a juicy hamburger. It’s unfortunate they haven’t figured out a way to make those things “fat free”, but until they do, I guess we all suffer.
I wasn’t ready to give up on those succulent burgers, so I thought there has to be a better way. I read a few books, and watched a few skinny individuals and came to the conclusion that eating smaller portions is important. I thought what a totally great idea. I can eat what I enjoy, but let me try eating less of it.
I actually first seen this done in Canada, where there is a big French influence who are well known for smaller portions. I really think that is the key to ultimate weight control. It really isn’t living on twigs and roots that make a healthy lifestyle, but eating great food in moderation.
I know that sounds easier said then done, especially when the food is the best gourmet. But the more I read those healthy living tips books, the more I begin to realize that they are right. It really isn’t as important as what you are eating, but the amounts that you are eating.
So a comparison would have to be made in exactly what you are eating. If I am having a really fatty dish, like those one half pound hamburgers I enjoy, then I would cut it in half. I still might be up there in fat intake, but it is a start for someone as overweight as myself.
So hopefully these healthy living tips will help make a difference for me. If I could eat what I enjoy in moderation, I just might see some beneficial results.
