Almost everyone has heard of the Low Carb diet. These diets have become so popular in recent years. The Atkins regime is probably the most popular cut carbohydrate diet.

There are others, all of which have been marketed aggressively throughout the country. People are ready to pounce on any new regime that seems better than the last one that they tried. There are millions of books, radio and television advertising pushes regime after regime.

Once you pass this period you will probably begin to notice some unpleasant side effects. Your body is trying to let you know that something is wrong. You’ll probably feel very tired, irritable, and have constipation.

By reducing carbohydrates, you will lose weight. Although it could be a fantastic concept, it was forgotten that the human body needs carbohydrates to work every day. Hence, it will begin to burn stored carbohydrates for energy.

When your body starts to burn carbohydrates, water is released. The results are the sharp drop in initial weight at the beginning. But this is nothing other than the water you lose due to burning carbohydrates.

Most diets that are low in carbohydrates are surprisingly rich in fat. They claim that you are allowed to eat unlimited meat, cream and butter. To a normal person this is not very healthy.

There is no way for someone to eat much fatty food and justify that it is safe to do so. As a matter of fact, those regimes low in carbohydrates and high in fats are nothing other than an invitation for diseases of the heart. Another problem with this type of weight loss is that all carbohydrates are divided into a group of the food you should avoid.

So you can eat as much bacon as you want! But you must stay away from cereals, fruits, beans, potatoes, rice, pasta and some vegetables. This is not right!

Fruits and vegetables in particular, are rich in fiber and antioxidants. Especially foods like vitamin C, carotenoids, flavonoids. These are proven to prevent heart disease and cancer.

Complete your exercise as early in the day as possible. Later in the day you start to a compromise a good night’s sleep. Your body will be charged, but your mind will want to rest and go to sleep.

You’re the only one to know when the time has come for you to start a weight loss program. It may be that factors trigger when the time is right but it is a personal choice. It should not be hard and you do not have to fear.
