Many women suffer from social pressure and media influences to shed off weight. They are women from various ages: high school students who are vulnerable to be overweight, new mothers who have gained post-pregnancy weight, and even stay-at-home moms who in some manner have taken lesser time beautifying themselves than before when they went to work.

Weight gain appears unavoidable among women, especially those who are approaching middle age when metabolism slows down. Women who have given birth also find it straining to regain their pre-pregnancy form. But then again, weight gain is not self-justification for women to slow up in caring for themselves, their appearance, and their character. All women can be beautiful, as long as they know how to take care of themselves and do it regularly.

Women who have tipped off the scales are faced not just with aesthetics issue but a health and wellness issue as well. This is also not just her business, but the care of her entire family. Relationships have, sadly, gone sour with the weight issue. Mothers of young children may also find it hard to move around given their size, when it is so fundamental for mothers to run after boys and girls, play with them, teach them and do healthy and joyful strenuous activities with them.

Women are constantly busy attending to others in the home before they could see to themselves. But women need to make time to take care of themselves, because the whole family’s well-being lies upon their shoulders. A woman who holds the least priority in taking care of herself will find it unmanageable to take care of the other members of the family.

Family members can help mothers, wives, aunts, and even older sisters take care of themselves by encouraging them to do so. Let them have time alone to shop for apparel and other essentials, which are decent and appropriate, and without having to be capricious. Also, if they have a need to visit a doctor for skin or bodily treatments, like acne and other concerns, let them do so without having them feel mortified.

In cases where surgery may be needed for women to regain a more pleasant appearance, including weight loss and treatments for acne, remember to talk only to experts.
