Laser liposuction is a relatively new procedure used to achieve the same outcome as small liposuction surgeries. Laser liposuction patients don’t quite have the same risks because this only occurs when an area of the body undergoes major treatment.
Anesthesia is one of the most dangerous component of any surgery. Since laser assisted liposuction only requires patients to receive local anesthesia, the patient remains awake. This is good for communicating any discomfort the patient might experience to the surgeon during the procedure. The smaller dosage also offers some savings to the overall cost of the procedure.
Laser liposuction puts the surrounding tissues under much less stress and trauma. There isn’t nearly the same amount of surgical risk to the internal organs and the risk of blood loss is minimal. Since smaller incisions are required for the procedure, there is also a smaller chance of the incision area from getting infected.
The greatest thing is that laser liposuction allows patients who only want a small treatment to pay for a small treatment with lower risks. All these factors make liposuction an even more popular plastic surgery procedure.
