It is a well-known truth that many women around the world have used a variety of things to maintain or enhance their beauty. Across cultures, eras and continents beauty secrets from the highest royal to the lowliest commoner have been passed on from generations to generations. Natural measures do not seem so prevalent in the West though where women prefer the knife, injecting bot ox and liposuction to enhance their beauty. Natural health and beauty secrets are all around us and have no risks attached, so why are not Western women using them?

Some natural beauty secrets are so close by we overlook them, water is probably the best known. Drinking eight to ten glasses of water a day will hydrate your skin and make it beautiful, ridding the body of toxins and unwanted chemicals. Unfortunately, today’s world is full of pollution and our skin absorbs this, so drinking plenty of water is an excellent way to flush it out.

Fruit and vegetables are another great healthy source of vitamins and minerals to help keep us healthy. Drinking natural juices can give us optimum health and helps enhance our natural energy. Increasing your daily intake of fruit juice such as, orange, cucumber, carrot and apple will improve the condition of your skin, nails and hair.

One of my favorites would be physical activity such as walking; it’s a simple beauty secret that brings huge health rewards. Walking, running, swimming and biking or some ways in which women can improve their skin tone, hair texture and overall health. Those are not the only advantages gained by exercise though because you burn off calories faster, digest food more efficiently and eliminate toxins from your body.

You will find that most people that take regular exercise are happy because it provides increased energy levels and puts you in a good mood. Looking younger is another by product of this, happiness. A positive person has been shown to have an increased immune system and longer life span.

Regular bathing has a spiritual and psychological effect on your mind as you cleanse your body of all the pollution that it absorbs. Depending on your day, you may want to shower in the morning as pleasant wake up stimulant or bathe before bed to relax you from the stresses of your day. A good night’s sleep puts a bounce in your step as your body feels re-energized.

No-one today advocates sitting in the sun without protection but it is a necessary source of energy and vitamins too us helping with skin complaints from too little sun, helping with healthy bones and nails. For long term skin care, a top beauty secret is wearing sunscreen if you are exposed to it for any length of time. Unfortunately, once the suns UV rays have done their damage, only cosmetic surgery can assist with the effects it has had on the skin.

And the last, and most important, among the beauty secrets is the cultivation of meaningful friendships and relationships. There may be times when all of us want to be on our own but long term isolation is very unhealthy. I have always enjoyed the company of loved ones as they have a relaxing effect on your life and bring meaning to it. You see, your friends and loved ones will usually accept you for who you are, probably the best beauty secret!
