Well, Spring is in the air and everyone knows what comes next : swimming suit season. Whoops, I meant summer. It appears that as quickly as Spring hits, folks are all of a sudden really anxious about how they look. It is sensible, naturally, because now the weather is getting hotter, we will not hide our weird bodies under long sleeves and saggy winter garments. We currently have to pay the price for luxuriating in the corrupt chocolate and eggnog and all the other Xmas goodies that came our way. Hence what’s the hottest weightloss product out there right now? Largest Loser’s Jillian Michael’s products are massive. She has become the Doctor Phil of fitness. Folk just can’t get too much of her. So how is she different from half the other work out videos out there? She truly isn’t. She just has that “drill sergeant ” persona that folk reply to so well. I do not mean to discredit her, as she truly takes you thru a great work out that may make you sweat and feel remarkable later. I’d just like to indicate that we, as a society, appear to be simply controlled by trends. Naturally, fitness trends have been common since the 50s. They have simply modified from year to year, with the standards of what it implies to be considered “fit ” or “pretty”. In the earlier times, ladies and curves were considered very fascinating. Look at Marilyn Monroe, as an example.

The lady wasn’t in any fashion over weight, but she was sexy. Still, she was accepted as a sex icon. In the 60s and 70s, thin was the thing.

The lady was not in any fashion over weight, but she was seductive. Still, she was generally accepted as a sex icon. In the 60s and 70s, thin was the thing. No curves on ladies.

A lady might have more beef on her so long as she was toned and athletic- looking.

Though I think the show the most important Loser has given us a better viewpoint of how beauty is only skin deep, I also can’t avoid thinking that their competitors should be just barely changed.

rather than just weight. I say this just because towards the end of this competition is when it becomes truly intense, and it might be really easy for one of the competitors to lose pounds in more unhealthy tactics ,eg starvation. I am not saying that these competitors essentially do this, I’m attempting to say the show would be promoting final health if they gaged peoples’s progression in this fashion. Anyhow, to celebrate our imminent summer and everybody’s concern for how they’re going to look in their bikinis, I just wish you all cheerful dieting and energized exercising! Good luck to fitting into the new swimsuit you are eying. Personally, I am just going to concentrate on eating right and keeping up my exercise programme. If I look bad at the pool, just look the other way and appreciate the Baywatch protege on the opposite side.
