Are you over the age of 25 but you feel like you\’re still in your adolescent years because of your acnes? If you are still suffering from pimples, blackheads, zits, and more, then puberty has nothing to do with it. Clearing out acnes isn\’t simple. Before you want to eliminate them, you might want to keep them first from existing.
To start with, you need to get a healthy lifestyle. Clear out the toxins from your body by eating non-fatty foods, avoiding alcoholic and caffeinated drinks, and drinking lots of water. Also, try to adapt a regular workout schedule and avoid stress. Smoking also clogs our pores and adds toxins in our body, so that should be one of the list of things you should avoid doing. And of course, exercise good hygiene.
But what if you already have acne? You can keep acnes from occurring, but for those who have already invaded your face and body, there are still things that you can do.
There are topical creams and gels that you can use to dry out pimples or acnes quickly. Over-the-counter products, such as those containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, may be used in mild to moderate cases. There are also those natural remedies that some people swear by. They recommend honey, oatmeal, ginger, and even plain ice to dry out acnes.
However, if you have severe acne case, topical products are not enough.
Acute acne cases should be treated internally. As topical creams or gels can\’t kill the root of the problem. Oral antibiotics may help those who suffer from serious acne problems. But oral drugs, such as those containing erythromycin or any of the tetracycline antibiotics, may have side effects. Check with a skin doctor before taking any oral medicines.
For some girls, acnes are a monthly thing. Everytime their menstrual cycle is about to start, women\’s hormonal level fluctuates, causing oil secretion of the glands. There are those who find taking oral contraceptives effective in extinguishing their acnes.
There are no direct means to clear out acnes. While some cures work for others, there are those who find them a waste of time and money. Your safest bet is to lead a healthy lifestyle. Although it\’s not a full guarantee that you will not have a single pimple on your face again, it will help decrease the problem.
