Isn’t that the main fear of everyone on a diet? Being hungry all the time. That fear of never getting enough food. Well, in this article I’ll show you how to lose weight by eating more.
I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that you can eat all the cake, candy, and potato chips you want. But if you choose the right foods, you can indeed increase your food intake.
You may have seen article titles such as “Have More Food and Lose Weight,” or Eat More and Weigh Less” and thought, “Yeah, sure.” I’ve thought that because I never thought I could eat more and lose weight. But that’s because I always thought in terms of calories rather than in terms of volume of food.
For example, you’ll find that fruits and vegetables tend to be low in calories compared to the processed foods most people have made a staple of their diet. Try this experiment at home. Eat three apples and see how hungry you are afterwards. Now go get a Big Mac meal from McDonalds and do the same thing. Most people will find that they’re completley full after eating three apples, can’t eat another bite. However, after the Big Mac meal, most people could easily find room for dessert. And here’s the kicker, you had about 200 calories eating those apples and over 1,400 with that Big Mac.
On the other hand, you could have had a whole wheat bagel with some peanut butter, yogurt, an apple, a salad, soup, popcorn, broiled fish, steamed veggies, and even a baked potato and still only consumed as many calories as you would have with the Big Mac meal.
This may sound a little too simplistic, however, it really is one of the keys to dieting success. Yes, those diet programs and plans help. I’m not going to deny that, but the real key to dieting is you.
