How To Get The Most Out Of Bodybuilding Supplements?

Bodybuilders who are new to the sport, often buy dozens of expensive supplements hoping to get on the fast track to a built body. More often the not this resuts in hardly no gains at all and just a lot of wasted time and money. The reason for this is because supplements have been designed to maximise a bodybuilders nutrition alongside a workout routine and high protein diet. You can’t just take them and expect to get massive.

I am not saying that you can’t use supplements to get better gains in bodybuilding, what I’m saying is that first you must have some other things sorted out. You need to create a healthy diet and you need to start using a solid workout routine.

Once you have your exercise and diet plan on paper and are going to the gym often, you can check out a few supplement. But it’s really critical that you have been doing your workout routine and eating your diet first, because these bodybuilding products will only ever ‘supplement’ that.

You may be wondering why I am advising that you never begin bodybuilding using supplements. It’s because it’s a mistake that I myslf have made and the failure can knock you back and steal your motivation. I bought 2 pounds of whey supplements and had the idea that by taking it alongside a few exercises I’d start growing. But I saw no gains at all.

A few weeks later I stopped taking them as I was really getting nowhere and decided to start from the beginning again. Of course my motivation was not as great but I pushed myself to create a quality workout routine and diet. As soon as I started doing my workouts and eating the right nutrition I started to build muscle.

I was really enjoying bodybuilding now as my body was growing and I was seeing some great gains. I didn’t even spare a thought for supplements at this point as I was doing just fine as I was.

Then, when I felt I was ready, I went back to using my whey protein supplements again. But this time instead of having hardly no results at all, I started having massive gains. I talking about every time I went to the gym I would grow in size and mass. It was a very exciting time and although my body has slowed down now, I am still gaining at a rapid rate.

So if you want my humble opinion, design a workout diet and exercise plan first and get used to sticking to it day and day out. And when you are ready, start to select supplements to increase your gains.

If you are all set with a diet & exercise routine, then you might find protein supplements are the next step. If so, then I recommend you read about Optimum 100% Whey protein powder.
