To have the chance to look look 10 years younger in 10 days sounds too good to be true. However, according to experts like Dr. Oz and Dr. Perricone it is, in fact, true. These experts have both been guests on the Oprah Winfrey show and both claim that it is possible to look 10 years younger in just 10 days. The key to this age defying miracle is in the foods you eat. Add some food they term super foods to your diet and then you are well on your way.

Just what are super foods. Are they an unrecognizable combination of different chemicals, enzymes and tree bark? Do you have to seek out specialty new age health foods stores to buy these super foods? Are these age defying super foods expensive? The answer to all of these questions is a resounding no! The super foods are very common and inexpensive foods that could easily be found in your Grandmother’s pantry.

Switching to a healthy diet which promotes a younger more youthful looking appearance is what the super food diet is all about. Our society has moved far away from natural, simple foods which contain essential vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants, towards a fast food diet fraught with chemical additives and over processing. Include the following foods in your diet to counteract the aging effects waged by a processed diet: 1) seeds and nuts, 2) barley, 3) sprouts, 4) hot peppers, 5) acai berry, 6) beans and legumes, 7) green foods such as wheat grass, 8) yogurt, 9) buck wheat, and 10) foods in the allium family.

On first glance the easiest super food to add to your diet on a daily basis is something within the allium family. Alliums include leeks,garlic, onions, shallots, chives, scallions and a number of other items that are commonly used. The allium foods help your body eliminate toxins which is very helpful to your liver and gallbladder. Just add some minced garlic or chopped onions to stews, soups or sauces. It couldn’t be easier.

Summer time is a great time to eat more salads as the vegetables and lettuces are so tasty and fresh. Add a handful of nuts or seeds to your salad to incorporate a super food. Sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, or chopped almonds or walnuts are a delicious addition to any salad. Add some bean sprouts or alfalfa sprouts to make it super charged with super foods.

The only super food that could be considered exotic or uncommon would be acai berry. Acai berries are harvested from the palms trees of the Amazonian rain forest. They are very perishable so they are freeze dried immediately for transport to North America, Acai berry juice and powder is becoming easier to find in most health food stores.

By now you can see how easy it is to look better. It’s easy to eat at least some of the recommended super foods each day in an effort to look 10 years younger in just 10 days.
