I have to start by saying that my 18th day on the HCG diet starting off quite pleasantly. My weight went down. It was just one pound down, but after being stuck at 156 it was just lovely to see the weight change! Plateaus are horrible!

The birds woke me up this morning. That sounds so sweet and \”Country Living\” but I have to say…it\’s annoying when it means that you missed out on your last hour of uninterrupted sleep. Even in the midst of my annoyance I remembered to get on the scale and when I saw that it said 155 instead of 156 I was more than excited. Three days at the same weight while on an intensive diet is an eternity!

I took my B-Total first (yeah extra energy) and then took my HCG. I had some Green Tea. It\’s still yucky, but it does help me lose weight so I put up with it!

I drank tons of water all morning. After conquering my plateau I wanted to make sure I continued to drop so I figured all the water I could take was a fantastic attempt at losing more weight. For lunch it was chicken asparagus soup (leftovers again). It\’s my favorite soup right now.

I allowed myself to have Melba Toasts today since I was able to break my plateau. They were perfect with my soup at lunch. I had an apple for an afternoon snack (I cut it up and drizzled lemon on it). It\’s a fabulous trick.

Dinner was another leftover: steak from yesterday\’s lunch. I had Spicy 3 Pepper Melba Toasts with it as well as a handful of strawberries and sliced tomato. I used this new dressing on it that seems to be HCG appropriate: Maple Grove Farms of Vermont\’s Balsamic Vinaigrette. If you haven\’t tried it yet you should get yourself out to the grocery store and find it. It\’s amazing.
