Tomorrow is the day! I’m starting the HCG diet. I’m going to follow the HCG protocol diet for 25 days. I ordered my HCG from HCG Diet Direct. They’ve got a homeopathic HCG weight loss formula that sounds great. My friend Lisa has agreed to do the diet with me so I’ll have a bit of added inspiration (it’s just healthy to have competition, right?) I’ve gone through the HCG protocol diet booklet outlining the rules and basics and I’ve read up on a bunch of healthy hints and tips.
I think I’ll read the booklet through once more today just to make sure I’ve got the basics down. It would make it so much harder to have to keep referring to the book as I go about my day. I’d rather just be aware of the rules not have to wonder and look it up periodically; we’ll see how that goes. I found a sample shopping list in the booklet so I’m going to take it right now and run to the grocery store so I’ve got all the necessary items on hand when it’s time to start eating “HCG approved” according to the HCG protocol diet.
I’m back from the store. It was horrible. I guess there is a bad thing about starting the diet the day before Thanksgiving. I just had to go to the grocery store in the middle of a mad rush of avid Thanksgiving day cooks. Some lady was practically pushing me when I was gathering apples. It was not pleasant.
But now that I’m done with the mad rush at the grocery store I’m just going to focus on the positives of starting the HCG protocol diet the day before Thanksgiving. The day before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day itself are both the absolutely most perfect days for “loading.” And no one can argue that. but in preparation for starting the limited calorie part of the diet the day after Thanksgiving I needed to get all my fresh foods and HCG protocol diet approved items now so I’m prepared.
I found in the online comments and suggestions that one of the things you can do to make it a lot easier on yourself is to know ahead of time what you’re going to eat and have it on hand. They say that nothing is harder than being hungry and scrambling for a quick “HCG approved” meal. That’s not really something you can easily do while on the HCG protocol diet. So that’s why it was worth it to jostle with the Thanksgiving grocery shoppers today. I now have a good selection of produce and meats that will work for the diet.
So now I’m just going to kick back and relax on my last NO DIET day. My fridge is stocked in preparation for the day after Thanksgiving. I’m definitely stocked up for my “loading” days with all the holiday crap laying around and in preparation. I’ve got plans to attend a massive family feast so I don’t think there will be any shortage of calories or fat. So I’m all set. I’ll catch you up on my first day tomorrow! Watch for Article 13!
