As someone who has studied and personally benefited from the use of the HCG diet here is an important tip when starting the HCG diet. To lose weight on the HCG diet, make sure to have 2 complete days of eating nothing but very fatty food to help prepare your body. By doing this you will create a better environment inside your body where your fat cells are ready to give up the fat once you start with the HCG.

Consider this analogy. Our body has lots of little garages to store fat and for the most part these garages open and close their doors regularly to let the fat we eat in and out. As we start to eat more fat then these garages can hold our body sends a message to close the garage doors and build more garages to store the additional fat. This is how we all get our fatty tummies, wave good by to grandma fat arms, thunder thighs and hips.

During the 70′s Dr Simeon developed a unique way to use HCG for medical weight loss. When he used the HCG formula he found that his patients lost more weight on a regular base. The HCG induced a sequence of cellular release allowing more stored body fat to be released when used with HCG injections or liquid. This medical discovery has proven to be a bug success with men and women who were grossly overweight and those who needed to lose a few extra pounds. With the HCG diet fat cells released more fat than normal allowing patients of Dr. Simeon to lose 1 to 2 pounds a day by adhering to the strict diet of 500 calories a day and only eating specific foods and lots of tea or water.

Part of the HCG diet plan also includes 2 days of fat loading, binge eating, to overload the body’s fat reserves in preparation to jump start your metabolism. By doing this your body starts to store up more and more fat into the little garages. Your body then reacts by burning as much of the fat intake as possible. Coupled with the pre meal HCG diet liquid drops your body is now in maximum fat burn capacity.

Think of these 2 days of binge eating as a foundation for losing a lot of weight and jumpstarting your HCG liquid diet, your body will be better prepared for the first 7 days of the diet when your calorie intake will drop to a staggering 500 calories a day.

To maximize your fatty food days you can eat anything you like just as long as it is made with a lot of fat. This could include a gallon of full butter chocolate ice cream or 50/50 cream on every bowl of cereal for 2 days. What ever you do just make sure you eat lots of fatty foods. Make sure to get your fill during these 2 days, it will be a few months before you can think about even touching this stuff again. Once you get to that third day you only have 500 calories to eat and that’s not a lot when you have normally eaten 3000 plus calories a day.

Back in the 1970′s Dr. Simeon helped many overweight people lose 1 to several pounds per day. The HCG diet of 2009 can do the same for you, I know this personally. Stick to the diet plan and don’t vary. The food you eat should be simple yet help you maintain a strict calorie count of only 500 calories per day. Many dieters have used tea to help out in the morning. I found that drinking tea in the morning and mid afternoon helps but if I drink it past 3 or 4 in the afternoon I am up all night. This also depends on the kind of tea you drink.

However you decide to start your HCG and the 2 days of loading make sure you eat fat and plenty of it. When you do you will notice that you will lose weight faster and your body will adjust during your first week of limited calories. After your 2 loading days, make sure to only eat the low calorie foods found in your HCG diet booklet. When you follow the HCG diet plan you will see that your clothes will fit loser and your appetite will decrease after the first week. Depending on your diet time frame you could easily lose 20 to 30 pounds over a 30 day period and finally have that great looking body you have been searching for.

What ever happened to good old fashioned exercising and watching what you eat? The only safe and real way to lose the unwanted lbs and to KEEP them off, is to quit eating crap and start exercising. Sorry Folks – but you will gain everything back that you lost and you will make your body confused and sick.
I’ve never heard of such a thing; Loading up on FAT for 2 days. That’s heinous…and only 500 calories a day? Minimal exercise? Unhealthy. Great way to teach girls to be anorexic.
This diet is obviously for lazy people who can’t get their butts to the gym.

Actually it would be nice if you didn’t judge too quickly … I’ve been in the gym for months, I also completed a 13 week No Boundaries Running Class which ended with the completion of a 5K. I didn’t run the entire 5K, still ran intervals , running then quick walking then running again. I just started this diet as a last resort. I did not load up on fat but enjoyed a few extras that I normally don’t eat. I’m not a dessert eater, don’t sit around eating cake and ice cream and regularly eat a pretty healthy diet. What I’m most likely guilty of is being an extremely busy mom of teens with too many irons in the fire and have actually eaten to few calories during my days, skipping meals when I’m on the run.

The HCG hormone is designed to force your body to burn the unhealthy fat our bodies have accumulated over time. In addition to starting this extreme diet, I’ve also undergone a full panel of hormone testing, and thyroid levels testing. Thyroid testing specifically because I have a family history of thyroid cancer and other thyroid complications. Because the 500 calorie requirements during phase 2 is so rigid, that is the reason no aerobic exercise is recommended but I look forward during the maintenance phase in just a few weeks when I am eating enough calories to support my getting back into 5k training. So, no I’m not looking for just a quick, easy and lazy way to lose weight.
