In order to get a wonderfully toned body, you need to know the best exercises for stomach muscles. In this simple but informative article, my aim is to give you a few simple but effective exercises that you can do to tone up your abdominal muscles. These include: pelvic muscle exercises, standing crossover, using an exercise ball, and cardio exercise.

Pelvic Exercises

In order to do these pelvic exercises, first lie flat on the floor, and try to have your knees bent and steady. Then begin to thrust your pelvic area up into the air. Try to do these at least once a day, gradually building up more repetitions each time you do them.

Standing Crossover

When it comes to toning up and tightening the muscles in the abdomen, the standing crossover exercise is a very good one to try. What you do is you start from a standing position and then touch your right elbow with your left leg, and then touch the left elbow with the right leg. This exercise also tones the muscles of the legs and arms, so all-round it is a very good exercise to do.

Exercise Ball

Although they probably look funny to use, an exercise balls is a wonderful addition to any exercise regime. When it comes to strengthening the abdominal muscles they are extremely beneficial. Most exercise balls will come with some simple exercises to try, so start with those and then you can start to push yourself more by experimenting with other variations.

Cardio Exercise

Up to this point we have been discussing exercises that specifically work by toning your muscles. However, don’t make the mistake of overlooking the benefit of cardio exercise. Cardio exercise also works well to burn fat, and should be used as part of your quest to slim down your abdominal area. Examples of cardio exercise include: walking, jogging and cycling.
