With the tons of diets available today, it\’s hard to choose one to stick to. Most of us spend the majority of our time on the yo-yo, since most of the weight we loose on a diet is gained back which is not what we want. You might have or have not tried fasting. If we do try fasting, most likely we dont fast correctly or we become easily frustrated due to the food restrictions and we give up completely. Then we end up feeling unaccomplished since we wasted the effort, time, and energy in return for no results.

It seems not many people are familiar with intermittent fasting. The reason it\’s not familiar to a lot of folks is because it\’s a fairly new concept of eating. I\’m fairly certain it will soon sweep through the country when people discover the benefits of this new eating style. Choosing this diet means not only can you expect to drop weight, you might find you\’ll live longer too. By following this diet in a proper way, your own body can be in better shape to deal with whatever health challenges you might face in the future. This is a fairly simple diet to follow, and the rewards are well worth it. Intermittent Fasting allows you to burn off fat and weight, maintain lean muscle in the process, and increase your growth hormone in the process. You\’ve spent more than enough time with yo-yo diets, so why not take the opportunity to try something different?

When you\’re on the Intermittent Fasting Diet, there are no restrictions what so ever. Yes, even that greasy hamburger and fattening fries are compatible with the Intermittent Fasting Diet. However you will be restricted to limited periods of eating and fasting. During the first 24 hours, you can eat everything you want, even all of your favorites. Then, after those 24 hours of freedom, you will have another 24 hours in which you can only consume water. Most likely you will be so stuffed from the day before that you wouldn\’t mind having just water. You continue switching off every 24 hours, and that\’s all there is to it. This method of eating is a diet which will surely work for you.

Notice that even though you\’re not eating any less, you will still lose weight with this plan. You end up basically consuming the same amount of calories you would if you didn\’t do the water fast on the following day. What this process does is present you with the best of both worlds each day. You end up losing weight the weight you want to, while eating all your favorite things. If you already have fairly regular eating habits established, being able to introduce the idea of intermittent fasting to your current lifestyle will no be too hard. There\’s just the fact that on some days, you just don\’t eat. And as you begin to reap those benefits from this plan, your life goes on as normal as ever.

Reducing the number of calories (calorie restriction) you eat is something both doctors and scientists agree is the best avenue for weight management. If you can stick to it, calorie restriction definitely works for most people every time they do it. However, the main reasons people bail out of restricted calorie regimes is because they are hungry most of the time. The main reason for the bailout is not liking what you have to eat every day on a restricted calorie diet. When you do the intermittent fasting, however, you have control of what you eat and you\’re able to feel full and satisfied after a meal. When you don\’t have the feeling you\’re on a diet, it\’s a lot easier to stay on track with it.
