We have all been on a diet at least once in our life. As lax or stringent our diet was, we all probably knew to put fast food on the back burner. Even just thinking about it, we may gain weight and in most cases lose control. Therefore, it is surprising and a bit of a relief to know that fast food restaurants are changing up their menu to become more dieter friendly. A trip to the fast food restaurant no longer seems intimidating. Of course, fast food if on a diet or for any person for that matter should be eating only on occasion.

McDonalds is one of those fast food chains ready to change with the times and accommodate those choosing to go on a diet. McDonald’s offers a whole menu on those counting carbohydrates and those on the popular Atkins diet. With being self conscious about your intake of carbs and calories you can find yourself eating moderately healthy at McDonald’s.

Of course, salad is top of the list when it comes to just about any diet. You really cant go wrong by choosing this healthy meal and you can get in a good portion of protein by ordering a salad with grilled chicken. One of the best low carb fast food salads is McDonalds grilled Asian salad.

One such salad that seems more benefiting than others on the menu is the Asian salad. What makes it different from the others is that it provides soy protein. It has been noted that soy protein helps to lose more weight than other types of protein. In this case, there are edemame beans in the salad that provides the soy protein.

Unbeknownst to most people, the double cheeseburger can in fact turn out to be diet friendly. It can be low carb with a simple tweak, by removing the buns, or at least the top bun.

Dont forget your beverage. Many of us forget that part of eating low carb fast food involves incorporating a wise drink choice in the mix. There is little good in taking all the measures to make sure that the carbohydrates in your meal are in check if you are going to rack up carbohydrates in your beverage. Good choices are black coffee, iced tea and of course, water.

As you can see there are many options when a fast food restaurant is your only option. You can have the occasional McDonald’s run without a lot of guilt. And if you even want to have less guilt, just make up for it at the gym by exercising a bit more if you know you are going to eat a heavy meal or when after eating a heavy meal. With a little conscious effort you can maintain that diet and reach your weight loss goal!
