Do you want to improve your health or make sure that you stay healthy if you already are? Then you should think about vegetable juicing. It will provide your immune system will large amounts of raw foods in high concentration.
People often wonder about the difference between vegetable juicing and juicing fruits. Clearly, both forms are a great way if you want to start working toward good health. However, there is one important point regarding fruit juicing: freshly produced fruit juice contains a lot of sugar that will effect our insulin levels negatively, and vegetable juice doesn\’t.
There is two exceptions, carrots and red beets. Both should only be used and juiced in moderation.
But don\’t get me wrong: instead of having your children drinking sodas, it is still much better and healthier to give them a glass of freshly produced fruit juice.
But why can\’t we just eat the vegetables? How come we have to juice them? That is because of how our bodies evolved over the hundreds of years we provided them with processed and artificial foods. Our digestive system simply forgot how to deal with raw foods.
And there is also a very practical aspect. By juicing, we are able to consume way higher quantities of vegetables than by eating them.
What about the pulp that is being separated from the liquids during juicing? The best way would be to mix it into the juice and then drink it together. This would make sure that you also get all the good fibers into your system.
Fresh vegetable juice should be consumed right after it was being produced. Otherwise, the powerful nutrients will slowly dissolve because of the exposure to the oxygen in the air, if we put into the fridge our just let it sit there in a glass on the kitchen counter top.
But if you really can\’t drink it immediately, put it into a glass that has a tight cap. Then you may store it for up to 24 hours in your fridge. Clearly, this still better than nothing.
One more point: before you start the juicing process, take your produce out of the fridge about one hour prior to that. It is said that juice should be consumed at room temperature to gain most out of it.
