The most successful dieters have the highest speeds of implementation. In other words, they take action faster than the average Joe.
So here is a plan you can take action on immediately:
1. Start writing down what you eat: Simply estimating caloric intakes is not accurate enough. As a bare minimum you need to spend at least 1 week tracking what you eat. This will show you exactly how many maintenance calories you need.
2. Make breakfast king: Putting down a slice of fruit with mega doses of coffee doesn’t count as breakfast. Your first meal of the day has to be as big as possible, no exceptions here. If you skip breakfast or if it’s too small, your levels of insulin will be disrupted for the rest of the day.
3. Stop drinking calories: Liquid calories are the worst thing you can put into your body. Not only are they a significant source of calories, but they also spike levels of insulin. Even worse, they promote tooth decay.
4. Set your schedule: Your body and your organs work best on set schedules. It all has to do with biological rhythms. So for maximum weight loss, start eating, exercising and sleeping at the same times every day.
5. Get rid of all the junk: And make sure you get rid of fast food immediately. Not only do you have to go through a confusing maze to find out what’s inside of this stuff, but in my opinion, it’s the source of calories that causes the fastest rates of weight gain.
6. Bring your lunch box to work: Do not rely on your employer to provide healthy, fat burning food. It’s imperative that you take control of your environment. And it’s much easier to change your environment than to rely on self discipline.
7. Go overboard with vegetables: I’ve never heard of someone getting sick from eating too many vegetables. In fact, increasing your vegetable intake to insane levels will increase energy and rates of weight loss more so than anything else.
