The only problem is that there are lots and lots of workout plans and programs out on the market making it difficult for anyone who is not a professional to choose. Lots of people just want you to spend your money and aren’t concerned with the results. You, therefore, want to find a program that is not only healthy and safe, but that is going to help you to get in shape.
As far as workouts go, you want to be quite sure that you are getting a good, safe, total body workout. Lots of people miss this. They focus on using a particular machine and never truly get the workout that they need. You want to make sure that your entire body is actively involved in the working out process, but you also don’t want to spend hours and hours trying to accomplish this. 20 Minutes Of Cardio
You cannot beat the effects of a good cardiovascular workout. This means that your heart is pumping and working hard so that it stays in good shape. Cardio will increase your metabolism and decrease your blood pressure. There are so many other health benefits associated with cardio that it must be included in any daily workout regimen.
For about twenty minutes, you will want to increase your heart rate by working on your cardio. This can include spinning, running, speed walking or some sort of aerobic exercise. You will want to make sure that you are giving yourself a small amount of time in the beginning and at the end to warm up and cool down.
20 Minutes of Circuit Training
Circuit training is a combination of resistance and strength training with intense aerobics. This form of exercise is designed to get rid of fat and improve the overall look of your body and build muscle mass. Circuits are made up of 2 to 4 exercises that are done in a cycle and repeated in that cycle as many as 4 times.
An example of a circuit would be to do a rotation of 20 push-ups, followed by 20 squats, followed by 20 jumping jacks. Once you completed the jumping jacks, you would go back to doing 20 push-ups, squats, then jumping jacks again and repeat the process until you had performed the cycle at least 3 times. You of course can substitute the individual exercises and add as many circuit as you can complete in 20 minutes time.
20 Minutes of Abs
You probably already know that abdominal exercises help strengthen the abs. But what you may not know is that strong abs are vital for protecting your internal organs and for aiding in your breathing, especially when you exhale. When you work on your abs, you will also improve your core stability.
A great way to get your abs working is to get a yoga ball and do your crunches on it. There are several basic crunch exercises that everyone knows including the forward and side crunches. Do these on the yoga ball and you are sure to get an intense exercise for the 20 minutes you need to be working out.
