Excess arm fat is a condition that has left too many women self conscious about their appearance. And the good news is that you do not have to suffer from this.
Thus, without further ado, here is a 6-step guide to effective arm toning:
1. Don’t violate the law of specificity: In other words, for best results, make sure you directly work your arm muscles. Don’t buy into this whole argument that doing total body exercise is the best way. While you do need to burn body fat, you also need to directly target your arm muscles.
2. Target the area where arm fat lives: There are three parts to your triceps muscle. And the area where arm fat lives is called the long head. So make sure you do exercises that directly work this area. One great exercise here is overhead extensions.
3. Target the medial head of your triceps: Although the medial head isn’t as prominent as the long head, you should still target it for best results. And a great way to do this is by using reverse grips with your pushdowns. Simply modify any regular pushdown movement by reversing your grip.
4. Don’t forget about the lateral portion: Again, not as visible as the long head, but you still want to exercise it for best results here. Even more compelling is the fact that the lateral portion is the one that is most visible when someone is looking at you from the side.
5. Don’t forget about your brachi: Specifically, you want to work your biceps brachi. These muscles are the first ones someone will see when looking at you from the front. So make sure you include some exercises for all heads of your biceps as well.
6. Lift weights: The biggest mistake women make is not lifting weights or putting forth minimal efforts here. In reality, the only way to profoundly change your body and metabolism is with weight lifting. There is no other exercise modality that can structurally change your body as effectively.
Now I would like to close here by saying that this information will be useless unless you act on it. So make sure you take action today, don’t wait for tomorrow. Because tomorrow never comes!
