You don’t like to follow a strict diet to lose weight. I don’t like strict and drastic diets either. I have tried all kind of wacky stuff just to shed a couple of pounds. I have done many mistakes along the way. Here is what I have learned:
1)Eat foods containing few calories. You don’t need to go on a hunger strike to lose a couple of pounds. All you need is the willpower to eat low caloric foods. If you give your body less calories daily it will be forced to tap into those fat deposits. You will start burning more fat daily.
2)Start burning more calories daily. Say you eat foods containing 2500 calories every day nut you only burn 1000 all day long. You have to increase your physical activity by exercising more. Get a gym membership and start working out frequently. You will burn much more than 1000 calorie each day.
3)Walking is a great way to burn those extra calories. You might not believe but walking is a great way to exercise more. And the best part is that you get so many opportunities to walk. Just park your car a little further or forget you have a car. You can also take the stairs instead of the elevator.
4)Start lifting weights even if you are a woman. Weight lifting burns fatter faster than any other form of exercising. Anaerobic exercises increase your metabolic rate by 25% for up to 15 hours. You don’t just burn fats while working out but also after the workout is over.
5)Eat less food. You don’t need to stop eating when your stomach cannot take anymore. Eat until you feel a little food and stop. You don’t have to stuff yourself with food at each meal. A good habit is always leave some food on your plate. That way you will eat less food.
6)Eat fresh food. You can eat fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, dairies, eggs, whole grain bread and cereals. There are plenty of choices. Try to fresh food that hasn’t been highly processed. Cook your food as little as possible and use only fresh ingredients in your cooking. Your whole family will appreciate it.
7)Eat slowly. When you start eating make sure that all you are doing is eating. I know you are good at multitasking but did you know that multitasking is fattening. Avoid watching the tv, don’t check your email or surf the web. Concentrate only on eating slowly and you will eat much less food.
