There used to be a time when women only ate what was available in nature. I suspect that arm flab was probably not an issue back then.
Enter the mass production of food and the savvy marketing of snake oil diets.
Once there was money to be made selling food, all hell broke loose. From this point on, the media waves would be flooded with massive amounts of confusing and contradictory information.
Which diet has taken first place? I strongly believe that high protein diets have had the greatest impact within the marketplace. After all, they do produce the fastest and most dramatic changes on the weight scale.
However, there are 5 things you should consider before going on a high protein diet to get rid of arm flab:
1. Energy lulls: Your brain will be foggy. Your body will want to sleep all the time because without carbs, your body\’s ability to produce energy will be slowed by a factor of 3.
2. An inability to exercise hard: Without carbohydrates, exercise will be extremely painful and your ability to recover will virtually vanish. Your body needs carbs to efficiently produce its energy currency, ATP.
3. Increased insulin resistance: High protein intakes can also cause insulin resistance, not just carbs. So take this into account when deciding on an arm flab diet.
4. An instantaneous loss in muscle tone: Water within your muscles makes them look tight and compact. Once you stop eating carbs, all the water will flush out.
5. The largest arm flab rebound: Of all the fad diets, high protein diets produce the fastest weight loss. But they also produce the largest weight regain. This was proven by a multi-million dollar Stanford University study.
I understand that high protein diets are very attractive because they produce almost instant losses in weight. But please consider all the negatives that come with such drastic changes. And don\’t forget that you could potentially gain back all the arm flab you lost in a very short amount of time. Thus, I do NOT recommend high protein diets for women wishing to get sexy and lean arms once and for all.
