At one point in my life, I was hell bent on finding the absolute best arm exercises for women.
Why was I so hell bent? Because my arms had gotten so big that my underarm flab would keep on waving even after I had stopped. Do you have the same problem?
It can be a tough fight, but rest assured that there is hope. You see, there are top methods for exercising your arms. Unfortunately, most women stumble because they don\’t know what the top methods are. In fact, many women confuse the wrong methods with the top methods!
You could develop a mental migraine trying to decipher the best way to exercise your flabby arms away. Here are 4 things you should NOT be doing when performing your arm exercises for women:
1. Using a stability ball. Stability balls are great for increasing balance and coordination, and for activating your stabilizing muscles. But this is not your main goal. Your main goal is to get toned arms as quickly as possible. And to accomplish this, you are going to have to stick to basic and heavy weight lifting.
2. Bouncy bosu balls. Bosu balls are great for increasing balance and coordination. However, they limit the maximum load you can place on your arms. And if you want toned arm as quickly as possible, then you need to lift weights with maximal loads.
3. Exercising on one foot. Again, are you trying to obtain the balance of a trapeze artist, or a pair of sexy arms? Most so called experts will claim that this increases your \”proprioception\” (coordination of your body parts), and they are right. But remember, the goal is to get toned arms ASAP, not to increase proprioception.
4. 5lb dumbbells. If you use such light weights when working out, you\’ll be spinning your arm flab wheels for a long time. Now if you are a true first time beginner, these might be appropriate starting weights. But you should be able to go heavier within a week.
The fitness industry is going to throw flashy things at you all the time so that you keep on coming back for more. The key is to stick to what works, and disregard what doesn\’t work. And with the 4 pitfalls I have just identified, you can better eliminate the unnecessary.
One more thing: taking action is the best way to learn what exercises work best for your arms. So start experimenting as soon as your next workout.
